Welcome to Stroud District Business Club

At the beakfast meeting in April David Marshall presented an update of the Canal Restoration Project to the SDBC.  Highlighting key benefits to the area, the local people and local businesses, David described current progress and some of the future 'challenges'.  David agreed to come back and update the members as the project moves forward.

On 8 March Catherine Green from AES Winterbothams LLP Solicitors came to talk to the Club about how to rein in debtors. Never has there been a time in recent years when this issue has been so important and Catherine provided some practical advice on how to ensure you are paid so your cash flow does not suffer and your business thrives. She emphasised how businesses need to know their customers (in case they become debtors), have an effective credit control system and take action quickly. How to avoid the pitfalls often experienced by businesses concluded the interactive talk.
